Interesting Facts –  Vasos Falireas was born in Athens (1905). He studied painting from 1924 to 1929 at the Athens Fine Arts School with teachers such as Georgios Iakovidis and Thomas Thomopoulos. In 1930 he left for Paris and until 1935 he worked close with the famous sculptors Charled Despiau and Aristide Maillol. He won the gold medal in the International Art Exhibition for his work of art “Galini” (1936). Many of his works were ruined during World War II. He died in the 8th of October 1979
